Loretta’s Last Call
1 Lansdowne St, Boston
A local spot with southern charm and great music – this is every country music lover’s favorite spot. Even if country isn’t your ideal genre – the food at Lorettas is worth it. With both indoor and outdoor seating, it’s a perfect spot to go before a Sox game, or when its a little chilly go on inside for a warm, delicious meal. The portions here are large, the music gets your foot tappin’ and they have a great cocktail menu. I’ve also been here at night, which is a great time, but I’d pick a mimosa over a vodka soda here any time.
Must Gets: Jalapeno, Cheddar & Bacon Cornbread Benedict + Rise & Shine Bloody Mary
Met Back Bay
279 Dartmouth Street, Boston
Met Back Bay is where I like to go if i’m reeealllyy feeling myself. Like I feel like Jackie O would deff have gotten a pancake or two here, but I would still comfy there with my Forever 21 top. The Bloody Mary bar here is a big hit as well – with an abundance of ingredients to tack on to your drink (you can literally stick a mini cheeseburger in your bloody!!!). The atmosphere is really nice here with large windows looking onto Newbury Street and they serve their food in a very aesthetically pleasing way (perfect for your IG feed – don’t act like that’s not important people). Go here for the bloody mary bar and the great location to bounce around the city for the rest of the day.
Must Gets: Avocado Toast + Cafe Royale
332 Washington St, Brighton
Devlin’s is one of my all-time favorite brunch spots. They have a really cute outdoor seating area with plenty of seating, string lights and lots of wood detail that makes it feel very “home-y”. Something I’ve noticed every time I’ve been to Devlin’s is how nice and attentive the staff is. You know that super awkward moment when you’re trying to make eye contact with your server to get a refill or the check? Yeah – awful. I have yet to experience that here, but my server always close by and happy to chat with me. The wait is usually not bad and the food is SO SO GOOD. Whether you get breakfast or lunch, a burger or eggs, your belly will be growling at you to go back soon after you leave.
Must Gets: Breakfast Burger + Spiked Iced Coffee
Monument Restaurant & Tavern
251 Main Street, Charlestown
Monument is a trendy, cozy-feeling spot with a large bar area and big menu. Themes nights include Mangia Monday, Taco Tuesday and Wednesday Night Ramen – there isn’t ever a bad time to walk into Monument. I’m a huge sucker for their brunch though. They have awesome drinks, including Cinnamon Toast Brunch (vanilla vodka + kahlua + cereal milk) and Juice Box (citrus vodka + blood orange + lemon + soda) to get your morning starting right and get you feeling GOOOOD. They also have pails of prosecco – and if that doesn’t get you excited I don’t know what will. The food is also unreal – they have a big pizza oven that pumps out delicious and fresh pizzas and classic brunch plates like the lemon and poppyseed buttermilk pancakes. I have to also mention – Monument is a great time at night – grab a glass of wine, some pizza and have fun!
Must Gets: Salmon Lox Bagel + Pail of Prosecco
